INTRODUCING IFA: ARTIST AND CRAFT ARTIST INSURANCE

Updated: Apr 13

glass blowing project

At Zinc, we’re all about protecting what matters most—to you. And while that’s different for everyone, it’s safe to say that if you’re a professional artist, we’re talking about your business, your property, and your reputation. Having supported Northeast Ohio’s artists for some time now, we’re aware of your concerns and questions. So let’s take the opportunity to get better acquainted: Announcing Insurance For Artists (IFA), hand-crafted artists’ insurance tailored to meet your specific needs. We’re pretty excited about this, and here’s why:

  • Unique to you. Yes, Zinc still carries all your personal and commercial lines, but this is something wholly different. An application all its own, IFA branches beyond the traditional, addressing your specific, artist-centric needs.

  • We’re just about everywhere. Based in Northeast Ohio, we love our local artists. But, good news! Our protective focus is ever-expanding. We currently serve a majority of the U.S., and are looking to keep right on growing.

  • Oh, so practical. Our Master Policy isn’t about fluff and nonsense—it covers real-life situations that, as an artist, you expect to face. We’re talking reasonable, affordable, and focused coverage.

  • Trust runs high. You know us, we’ve been at this insurance thing for awhile. We love it, and we hope that passion shows. Years of solid experience in all things insurance—and some things artsy—inform our expertise.

But let’s step out of the nebulous and into the real world: Just what’s covered? Our Master Policy focuses on one big, looming word: Liability. Because whether you ply your trade in the comfort of your home, or in a downtown studio, you likely have substances or tools that in unskilled hands, spell danger. And pieces you’ve created and sold could come back to haunt.

So here’s what you really need to know: Regardless of where you are—home, studio, shows or exhibitions—IFA has your back. You’ll have the pick of three degrees of liability, along with six property levels, and extended transit and exhibition coverage. With a comprehensive approach, you can be ready for the ‘what-ifs’ and the ‘worst cases.’ With our Master Policy running annually—October 1st to October 1st—and re-enrollment starting September 1st, now’s the time to get talking, exploring, and deciding. Because that flip of the calendar sure comes quick. Our new, shiny website is a great way to answer basic questions, check your options, and get a feel for who we are.

IFA is an exciting undertaking, one we’re really stoked to be part of. Because here’s the truth: We’re in this to support you and the work that you love. So check us out, and chat us up. And let’s keep you creating with wild abandon, knowing that if and when something goes wrong, we’ll be there to help. Now that’s protection in 4D.
